Opis projektu:

The focus of the project is to prepare grating diffraction
structures with different properties for application in LED, lasers, and
other photonic components. The aim is to interconnect activities in
basic research between UNIZA representing higher education sector, and
company SEC Technologies representing private sector.
There are three specific objectives of the project that are directly
connected to the main project objective:
-       Design of the grating structures with different properties – consists
of analysis of different grating structures in the point of view of
geometry, period, shape, and material. The objective will be verified by
simulation methods and by optical measurements after fabrication.
-       Fabrication of grating structures using different lithography
techniques – involves the use of existing lithography tools, as well as
the building of new experimental set-up for grayscale lithography.
Verification of the prepared structures will be done by the morphology
characterisation using analytical tools (e. g. scanning electron
microscope, atomic force microscope) and by optical characterisation.
-       Application of prepared structures into existing LED, laser, and
photonic components – the evaluation of desired parameters, especially
diffraction effects, will be performed by optical characterisation.
