The doctoral study programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Žilina represent the highest level of university education, combining advanced theoretical preparation with intensive hands-on research activities. Doctoral students are directly involved in solving scientific and development challenges within the respective fields, typically as a part of larger projects and often in a close collaboration with international and indusctrial partners. The thrid-grade doctoral programs are offered in two main forms:

• Internal (full-time) study, intended primarily for students who wish to dedicate themselves fully to scientific work, with daily engagement in the academic and
  laboratory environment. Internal doctoral students receive a scholarship and are actively integrated into faculty research teams.
• External (part-time) study, designed for category of students who combine their doctoral research with professional practice or daily employment, providing greater
  flexibility, while maintaining high academic standards.

To provide accessibility for everyone and fostering international faculty evironment, doctoral studies are available in both Slovak and English languages. This option creates an open academic environment for both Slovak students and international applicants, encouraging mobility and supporting joint research activities.

Graduates of the doctoral programs acquire expert knowledge, methodological competencies, and research experience that prepare them for careers in academia, scientific institutions, innovative companies, and high-tech industries.
